S.M.H. at T.I.

Rapper T.I. was placed under arrest again for a furlough misunderstanding according to CNN. Prison officials objected to his manager and a reality TV producer riding with him on a trip to a halfway house, according to a prison document. The two men whose presence was questioned by prison officials each said they and T.I. believed they were allowed to ride with him since they were on the prison’s approved list of visitors but “such people were not authorized to travel with him in the conditions of his furlough,” and that “he further indicated he was discussing a new reality series and a book with those individuals,” according to a Bureau of Prisons report. T.I. was removed by US Marshals from an Atlanta halfway house after a day of being released and placed back into federal prison. The furlough agreement T.I. signed only specified that he would travel in a “POV,” (privately-owned vehicle), not in a luxury tour bus. Unless prison officials conclude he did not violate his furlough agreement, he is expected to stay locked up until that sentence is complete on September 29, documents indicated. T.I. is serving an 11-month sentence for violating his parole on a gun conviction. Bureau of Prisons officials are expected to review the suspension of his furlough, but who knows when a decision might come, defense attorney Steve Sadow said Thursday. A book and the VH1 series, which publicists announced the day of T.I.’s release, had been negotiated months before, and no business was conducted on his ride to the halfway house which is what Cris Abrego & manager Brian Sher told authorities in a letter. It was also released that VH1 announced the reality TV show soon after he boarded his bus. There’s no title to the 10-episode series which will premiere in December will show T.I. “as he re-adjusts to life as a free man after being incarcerated for nearly a year in a federal prison in Arkansas.” This isn’t his first time behind those prison walls, remember he served two stints in the Arkansas prison, first he served seven months there in 2009 as part of an unusual sentence negotiated two years ago to resolve federal gun charges. Those charges followed his attempt to buy three machine guns in the parking lot of an Atlanta grocery store. His latest time behind bars was triggered by his arrest, along with that of his wife, after a motorcycle officer stopped their car on Sunset Boulevard in Beverly Hills, California, a year ago. A police report said suspected drugs were found in the couple’s car and they were both arrested on drug charges. While the charge against the rapper was later dropped, he failed a drug test given by his parole officer. Maybe one day T.I. will get it together because we miss him.

The V.M.A.’s Are Here!!!!!!

Katy Perry leads the pack with the most nominations this year with 10 nominations including VIDEO OF THE YEAR, BEST FEMALE, BEST POP, BEST COLLABORATION and new category BEST VIDEO WITH A MESSAGE. It may be the year of 4 for Beyonce but its 5 for Katy also being the second person in music history and the first female artist to 5 #1 singles off of 1 album. The only person to do that was The late great KING OF POP himself Michael Jackson. Katy will also be in great seating company because she will be on the same row as Britney Spears & Beyonce each of them sitting only inches from each other. Britney will be getting a tribute portion of the show at the tender age of 29 with Lady Gaga presenting her an award. King Bey will perform as well as Chris Brown, Lil’ Wayne, & Adele with Lady Gaga kicking off the show as only she can with what I’m sure it’s going to be a water cooler moment on Monday. Selena Gomez will be the there with her beau Justin Bieber, Kim Kardashian will be there fresh off her honeymoon, Nicki Minaj is also slated to be there as well. This award show is being pumped to be EPIC but one can only hope, it is on Michael Jackson’s birthday I’m sure he’s looking down on his peers and giving them his blessing. R.I.P Michael J. Jackson.
